Food Alert
The Isle of Wight Meat Company has recalled several of its biltong products, including Biltong Original, Biltong Sweet Chilli, Biltong Garlic, and Biltong Black Pepper. The recall was prompted by the Food Standards Agency (FSA), which found that these products were produced without the necessary approvals, rendering them unsafe for consumption. The affected products have been sold since August last year until June of this year. Consumers are advised not to eat the products. Instead, they should take a photograph of the packets, destroy them, and email the photograph to orders@chevertonfarm.co.uk for a full refund. Point of sale notices will be displayed where the products were sold to inform customers about the recall. This highlights the need to have approval applications and processes in place before operations begin.See the full FDA update and read more here.#FoodSafety #PublicHealth #ProductRecall #IsleOfWight #BiltongRecall #IndustryStandards #RegulatoryCompliance #FSCL #QualityControl #ContinuousImprovement #FoodSecurity
